A system bet lets you win even when some of your matches lose. This guide explains exactly how a 6-fold system bet across 11 matches works — the type BetGiant VIP uses — with a real ticket example and step-by-step staking instructions.
What is a System Bet?
A regular accumulator (acca) requires every single match to win — one loss and you lose everything. A system bet breaks that all-or-nothing rule.
Instead of one giant acca, the system automatically creates every possible combination of a chosen number of matches from your full selection. Your stake is split equally across all those combinations. If enough matches win, some combinations pay out — even if others don't.

Pick 11 matches in groups of 6. You can lose up to 5 matches and still see a return. Safer, smarter, structured.
The Maths: C(11, 6) = 462 Lines
When we pick 11 matches and use a 6-fold system, we ask: "How many ways can I choose 6 matches from 11?" That's the combination formula:
Number of lines = C(n, k) = n! / (k! × (n − k)!)
C(11, 6) = 462 combinations
Each combination is an independent 6-match accumulator

You only put in £100 total. Bet365 (and most bookmakers) automatically handle the maths — you just enter £100 as your total stake on the system bet slip.

What Happens If Some Matches Lose?
This is the magic of a system bet. A losing match only busts the combinations that include it — the rest still pay out. Here's how many winning lines remain for different results:

¹ Approximate — actual return depends on the specific odds in each winning combination. Void matches are treated as odds 1.0 and keep the line alive.
You need at least 6 correct predictions for any line to pay out (since each line is a 6-match acca). With 5 or fewer correct, all lines lose.
How to Place a System Bet on Bet365 — Step by Step
Follow these steps exactly. It takes about 3 minutes once you have the VIP ticket matches.
Open Bet365 and log in
Go to bet365.com (or open the app). Make sure you have at least £100 available in your account balance.
Add all 11 matches to your bet slip
Search each match from the BetGiant VIP ticket. Navigate to the correct market (e.g. "Match Odds", "Both Teams to Score", "Goals Over/Under") and click the odds button for your selection. The bet slip on the right will grow as you add each pick.
Switch the bet slip to "System Bets"
At the bottom of your bet slip, Bet365 shows tabs: Singles / Doubles / Trebles / Accumulators / System Bets. Click "System Bets". The page will now show all available system options for your number of selections.
Choose the "6 From 11" system
Scroll through the system options and select "6 From 11" (sometimes labelled "Heinz" variants or shown as "System 6/11"). Bet365 will display the total number of combinations — 462 for 11 matches at 6 folds.
Enter your total stake: £100
Type £100 into the stake field. Bet365 will automatically divide it: £100 ÷ 462 = £0.2165 per combination. The "Total Stake" shown on the slip should confirm £100.00.
Review and place
Double-check every match and selection is correct — pay close attention to which team or market you've selected. Once happy, click "Place Bet". You'll see a confirmation slip with your bet reference number.
Wait for results
Bet365 settles each match as it finishes. Your account will be credited automatically for every winning combination. You can track progress in "My Bets".
Can't find "System Bets"? On mobile, tap the bet slip icon (bottom right), then tap the 3-dots menu or swipe through the bet type tabs. On desktop, it appears automatically when you have 3+ selections.
Staking Guide for Beginners
Why £100?
BetGiant VIP uses £100 as the reference stake because it's easy to calculate returns and it's a meaningful enough amount to see real profits. You are not required to stake exactly £100 — you can scale up or down. The returns shown by BetGiant are always calculated at £100 so you can compare tickets fairly.
Can I stake less?
Yes. If you want to stake £50, just type £50 into Bet365. Each line becomes £50 ÷ 462 = £0.108. The proportional return stays the same — if we show "£847 from £100", you'd get ~£423 from £50. Bet365's minimum stake per combination is usually £0.01, so you could in theory stake as little as £4.62 total.
Responsible staking — only stake what you can afford to lose
Even with a system bet, there is no guaranteed return. If fewer than 6 matches win, you receive nothing back. Never stake money you can't afford to lose. Treat it as entertainment, not income.
